Just One Bite

The Apple: To The Fairest

A fortune cookie once stated, "You make other people see that there are other beauties which exist."

...to each an apple of his own.
...to each an apple of distinct color.
...to each an apple of unique taste.

After all, the world is an apple.

An Apple's Wrath

Warning: Below is a work fueled by anger, resentment and indifference. Should there be any bluntness and should any reader be offended, apology is instantly offered. This is solely for the purpose of expression which every individual is entitled to claim and enjoy. No place for euphemism and politeness this time.
Nobody is perfect. This is the most overrated aphorism depicting every individual’s inevitable tendencies to commit mistakes, to sin, and be flawed. It is a fact that each one of us is imperfect. Because, this is already given, to be judged and defined because of a flaw is unfair. It is like being condemned to death without having due process.
Way back in high school, the captain of our debating team claimed that a glitch in a system does not necessarily mean that its entirety is rotten - that, just because a flaw existed, the system would be a failure. I did not agree with her, then. However, when I think of it now, she was right. She was, in every sense of the word, RIGHT. If I remember it correctly, she made use of this analogy: Should one of your family members gone astray, say, become someone addicted to illicit drugs, would this mean that your whole clan is bad?  No. Would you succumb to this unfair generalization? No. While it is true that one member veered off the wrong direction, that member is not the parameter to define your clan. He might be part and parcel of the clan, but HE IS NOT IT.
On an individual basis, one cannot be defined by a moment’s emotion. Just because you see a person mad once does not necessarily mean that he is mad at all times. Just because somebody appears happy at an instance is not a guarantee that he is not capable of feeling sad. Just because you comforted someone at his lowest point does not give you an assurance that he will not bounce back. There is more to a person than how he feels at a certain circumstance. He feels for a moment but HE IS NOT IT.
I FEEL FOR A MOMENT BUT I AM NOT IT.
To those of you who think that you know me, think twice.
To those of you who have labeled and branded me, how dare you judge me? Do you even know what your own brand is? YOU ARE NOT ANY BETTER THAN ME.
To those of you who think we are friends just because you think so, you are thinking wrong. Because friends do not back bite. Should they have any criticism, they give it up front. Just because we know each other’s names does not qualify friendship. Just because you know my real friends does not mean we are friends. Dream on or wake up, the choice is yours.
Yes, whoever you are, I disown you. We are not friends.
By the way, here’s the good news: I WILL BE BETTER TEN FOLDS THAN WHO YOU ARE AND WILL GOING TO BE. You have just given me the drive to improve myself.
Ironic but I think I need to thank you for the push.
